Artists From Twenty States Join Iconic Detroit Artists • 2019 artists shown below
Each year more than 100 artists apply to be part of the Palmer Park Art Fair. This year, our jurors selected about seventy five in three different sections- professional juried artists, local emerging artists and Detroit area teen artists . Criteria for each section is different. Many of our professionals exhibit in shows throughout the country and beyond. While some have less expensive work, expect to see large scale art selling for as much as $3500 or more.
Our emerging artist section consists of members of the Detroit Fine Art Breakfast Club. The club meets weekly and includes artists of all experience levels. For this section we are including only those that have not participated in previous art fairs.
The Mint Artists Guild returns with a tent of talented Detroit and area teen artists. The high-school aged students are selected for their advanced abilities and then Mint Artists Guild works with them to develop the skills necessary to create a career in the arts.
For review purposes, we have divided the juried artists into four categories-
Two-Dimensional Art - Primarily items that you would hang on the wall.
Three-Dimensional Art- Sculptural items. Most functional art fits into this category.
Wearable Art- This includes jewelry, clothing, accessories and outerwear.
New Orleans- A group of artists from the New Orleans Palmer Park Art Market visiting on an exchange program.
