I am creating Artwork and Craft projects all my life. Starting with needle works like knitting, crochet and bead jewelry making I found my final media in painting. I started to paint with acrylic and oil paints and moved over to working with alcohol ink and epoxy resin with color pigments. As bases for my work I am using canvas, wood boards and tiles and as well as other flat surfaces like tables, guitars and others.

Introduction: Transitioning from the realms of engineering and business to a full-time artist, I founded Creative Artonomics, where my profound passion for art and music converges with strategic business acumen. Rooted in Ann Arbor, Michigan, I draw inspiration from the warmth of my cherished family.
Influenced by my global travels, my art captures intricate details through loose gestural marks, dynamic color interplay, and layered compositions. This deliberate journey mirrors the intricate beauty and complexity inherent in our world, offering a unique 3D effect that sets these pieces apart. Appreciated for their depth and dimensionality, these artworks make a remarkable addition to any art collection or a thoughtful gift.

I'm inspired by nature and the fun little personalities that birds have. Everyone has a story about a bird. The symbolism of birds is deeply intertwined with cultures around the world, like the admiration of birds is the one thing that almost everyone can agree on. So I paint and print them. So they can fly away to new places like the majestic creatures they represent.

My signature compositions express mood and emotion by revealing the essence of a subject. I honor the physical world, both nature and the hand of man, by staying true to it, while interpreting it. This overt and deliberate act of artistic creation allows me to communicate powerfully with the viewer.

There is a belief that if you fold 1000 paper cranes, you get a wish. I started painting cranes on top of origami paper collaged onto canvas as a way to push myself to continue to hope while my daughter was ill, and that has grown into more as I keep painting them. The idea of painting the image of origami cranes on paper continued to resonate with me, and I discovered that the cranes represent people. In life, we seem so solid going through our day to day, but it only takes a breeze to knock a life off track. Our lives are fragile things. From working as a nurse, I witnessed many life changing and challenging moments, and it changed how I thought about life. Through painting, I aim to remind others that loving each other is brave and what makes life worth living.

I create watercolor paintings which often weave trauma into enchanting representations of the experiences of humans. Taking inspiration from my life and the stories of those closest to me, I’ve created pieces about domestic abuse, eating disorders, and more. This unique perspective gives my work an emotional edge that fans and customers will identify with.
When the tide of emotions becomes overwhelming, my art turns to escapism and my canvas becomes a realm of magical worlds, people, and creatures. I have always held a love for fantasy and surrealism. I am influenced by magic, anime, and powerful women which you can see in pieces like Aurora & Spelbana and Winter Witch & Her Ice Snake Familiar.

We grew up in the near Detroit suburbs, and always kept our love for the City. Terri paints city scenes from her own photographs of the city and portraits of Detroit figures, and Marge paints the beautiful Michigan nature nearby in plein air.
