I am creating Artwork and Craft projects all my life. Starting with needle works like knitting, crochet and bead jewelry making I found my final media in painting. I started to paint with acrylic and oil paints and moved over to working with alcohol ink and epoxy resin with color pigments. As bases for my work I am using canvas, wood boards and tiles and as well as other flat surfaces like tables, guitars and others.

I'm inspired by nature and the fun little personalities that birds have. Everyone has a story about a bird. The symbolism of birds is deeply intertwined with cultures around the world, like the admiration of birds is the one thing that almost everyone can agree on. So I paint and print them. So they can fly away to new places like the majestic creatures they represent.

There is a belief that if you fold 1000 paper cranes, you get a wish. I started painting cranes on top of origami paper collaged onto canvas as a way to push myself to continue to hope while my daughter was ill, and that has grown into more as I keep painting them. The idea of painting the image of origami cranes on paper continued to resonate with me, and I discovered that the cranes represent people. In life, we seem so solid going through our day to day, but it only takes a breeze to knock a life off track. Our lives are fragile things. From working as a nurse, I witnessed many life changing and challenging moments, and it changed how I thought about life. Through painting, I aim to remind others that loving each other is brave and what makes life worth living.
